Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Lamborghini, had made hints about the Supercar’s new product that there was going to be a successor to the Aventador. The Aventador has a new successor that will be testing with the newest spy photos revising bodywork and it confirms the prescence of a hybridized powerplant.
There is a key detail shown by Winkelmann that displays how the Aventador’s replacement could potentially be true to ancestors with a V-12 engine. Yet, that supercar would have to gain a plug-in-hybrid system to help cope with emissions standards.
Of course, you look at the spy photos well enough and they all have lightning-bolts on them, most usually found with hybrid and electric test cars. Lamborghini believes that the V-12 can feature a new design along with heavy revisions in the Aventador.

While the supercar prototype is camouflaged, it is pretty easy to make out the revised bodywork. There are large intakes in the front bumper, but the inlets on the side of the car are truly colossal and wrap up the side of the car in a zigzag fashion before meeting the top of the windows.
Around back, quad exhausts now sit at the same height as the Y-shaped taillights, while an aggressive diffuser protrudes from below. The rear tires also look extremely wide for maximum grip. The plug-in-hybrid Aventador successor is expected to go on sale next year, presumably bearing a new model name and beating the current car’s output of 769 horsepower.
