Jet Edge, a growing private aviation company, based in California, has chosen The Buckeye State as its operational headquarters. In addition, 100 employees are planned to be hired by the company here as the industry of flying the rich and famous grows.

Not sure this is something to publicize or be proud of but Joe Biden is well-loved by the very progressive, left-leaning Democratic voters of the United States. The company, in fact, recently flew President Joe Biden from Delaware to Washington D.C. for the inauguration. About a year ago, they bought Columbus-based JetSelect, a smaller firm.

Jet Edge Acquisition

President of fleet operations for the company and former CEO of JetSelect, Robert Austin, said the California firm has decided to double down on its investment in Columbus after the acquisition.

Austin said Jet Edge is excited to be part of the fabric of Columbus. “Columbus is a great place for lower price of real estate, labor and also a very targeted rich labor market.”

Jet Edge Presence: More Work for Columbus Residents!

Now, the company has more than 75 employees. They report to a new “operations command center.” It just opened up in the Easton area. Looking to double its square footage on Worth Avenue, the company will take up the entire first floor of its office building.

Hiring another 100 people in the next 24 to 36 months, it will be in the areas of sales, operations, logistics and accounting.

“The heart of Jet Edge is this operation,” Austin said. People work around the clock here literally 24/7.”

25,000 charter hours of flying is the operations hub for organizations those hours Jet Edge did last year. That make it the fifth-largest private aircraft operator in the U.S., Austin said.

High-Net-Worth People are Jet Edge’s Clientele

More than 85 private planes are based in 45 cities are the company’s fleet across the U.S. Moreover, the clientele is high-net-worth people. Daily, they fly from Miami to L.A., Denver to New York, Seattle to Cabo, and the like.
